SDS delivery

Q.

What type of file is used for SDS delivery?

A.

Delivery of SDS/Label data summary is in a form of Microsoft® Word (.docx) file.

Q.

Can I get label data only?

A.

No. We can deliver a "Label Data summary" as far as we could have your request for SDS authoring, even if your need is label data only.

Q.

Can I ask you to use data of component as a mixture?

A.

Basically, we need the information of each substance constitutes the mixture, such as CAS number, chemical names and concentration(%). If there are still some unidentified components remains, we will find some way to deal with it individually. So even if there are some unspecified components exist, please feel free to contact us.

Q.

Is determination of Dangerous Goods (DG) classification available?

A.

Yes. We assign the DG classification in the SDS. It will be resulted by SAP's specified logic according to the international and local transport laws and regulations. It will be written in section 14 "TRANSPORT INFORMATION" of SDS.

SDS revision

Q.

Is revision of SDS available on demand?

A.

Yes. Updated version of SDS can be delivered at lower price and sooner than initial version on your request.

Q.

Is the revision request acceptable if the specification is changed soon after the delivery with no extra charge?

A.

If the changes are found within a month after the delivery, we will provide revised SDS at no extra charge on your request. Otherwise, please contact and give us the details.

Q.

How long will it take to release updated version SDS?

A.

It will be depend on the volume of changed contents. Revised SDS will be generally done within 7 business days at relatively low cost.

Information and data required

Q.

Do you use the data in existing SDS of our product?

A.

Yes. Your SDS wil be used to retrieve product's data such as physicochemical, toxicological, and ecotoxicological data. Those product's data will be prioritiezed.

Q.

What should I submit other than existing SDS?

A.

There is a designated data entry form we ask you to fill out, which has some questions about physicochemical, chemical safety, and hazardousness of your product. Besides, the vendor's SDS of component is needed to be submitted if available.

Q.

What is the data source of SAP database?

A.

SAP's accumulated database is established by retrieving published data in the world, mainly through OECD eChem or ECHA.

Price and lead time

Q.

What is the basis of the prices?

A.

The price is set based on the number of component included in your product. For succeeding orders, once requested component will not be counted in such price quotation.

Q.

Are there any discount system?

A.

Yes, we have special discount applied when your order is accompanied with request for;
① Other countries or/and other languages
② English version just for confirmation of contents (PDF)
③ Large quantity orders

Q.

How long does it take for SDS to delivery?

A.

It normally takes about 10 to 20 business days. The time period while waiting for customer's reply to our inquiries are excluded from this. If you need SDS urgently, please consult separately.

Are those languages used in SDS safe to be said reliable?

A.

Yes. SAP's specialists in different countries who are fluent in the aimed languages check the phrases of SDS.

Q.

Is this "multilingual SDS authoring service" just translation between langages?

A.

No, it is not mere translation into required language. This Service can deliver SDS complied with the latest regulation in the locally-specified template.

Confidentiality measures

Q.

How is the information security assured?

A.

Basically, provided customer information or data will be carefully handled under controlled condition. Furthermore, we are prepared for signing either confidentiality pledge or non-disclosure agreement on an as-needed basis.
SAP ERD portal which used by us for maintining data and retrieving SDSs online is offered via SAP's webservice connections. The connections use HTTPS whereas RFC/ALE are encrypted and secured by VPN and firewall infrastructure.
